Yes, that's right. Bollocks. I have a couple of ideas running through my head wanting to break out on to the lanes of the information super highway, but unfortuently, I have niether the time nor the energy to delve into them.
The kids have come down with something in the middle of summer and I think i'm getting it too. I have a wedding reception to go too tomarrow for a cousin that i haven't seen in probably 10 years. School is right around the corner for the kids and I and i have nothing ready.
But I really want to tell you all about the witnessing Baptists that showed up on my door step yesterday at 8 o'clock in the evening as i'm trying to nap away a splitting head ache and make sure the kids are heading to bed. I also have a cool story running through my head that i want to write up.
So again. Bollocks. I really need to carry a notebook with me and write in it when ever i get the urge. It's just hard to do when running around and scrubs and chasing kids all the time. I just feel like i can't sit down and take a breather.
I guess August is always hard for me. It's a change of pace month. Settling down from the fun you had all summer and getting ready for the work of the coming fall.
So I really think I'm going to go and have a beer, relax, look at the stars, and just breathe for a few moments. Then maybe i'll whip out the notebook and get the thoughts stuck in my head loose and onto the paper to share with you all another day.

Theory of Red Lights
So I read the Parable of the Gong on the blog Hoopla. The blog is written by the Baron Von Hoopla who is of the Discordian persuasion. Follows is a cut of the larger parable:
“Bureaucracy,” said Nopants, “is waiting for a red traffic light in the middle of the night when no one is coming.”
Across space and time, a gong sounded.
Golden Rod left the basement and returned to the real world, thoroughly confused. As he drove home, he ran five red lights. His mirth rose with each light. By the end of the voyage he was giggling like a ninny at his new found freedom.
Years went by and Golden Rod continued drive towards Aftermath. He rolled stop signs, blew through red lights, and opened his moon roof when there was danger of falling rocks.
“Sweet Merciful Ass!” cried out Bung-Fu the Fool as he clawed at the dashboard. “You’re gonna get us both killed!”
“I am self-emancipated from these mundane traffic laws,” cackled Golden Rod. “I am a harbinger of Aftermath!”
“Do you always drive like this?” said Bung-Fu as he buckled his seat belt.
Golden Rod nodded. "Always."
Meanwhile, the monk Nopants was wheeling his gong across the street towards his basement. He patiently waited for the light to turn red, then pushed the ponderous percussive instrument upon the pavement.
The collision made the exact sound of enlightenment.
After reading this it made me think of all the rules we follow that may serve a purpose but can be broken with out ill effect. I'm guilty of sitting at a red light in the middle of the night with no cars around. Would anything really have happened if I had ran it? What about leaving the tags on pillows and mattresses? And what about having to pour Beer that in a can with those nitrogen capsules into a glass? What would happen if i just drank it out of the can?
Hmmm, speaking of beer. Tis my last day of vacation. I think I should go have one. I'll leave you all to your own thoughts on what rules do we blindly follow and why exactly do we follow them?

What is Dj doing today.
Well for one. I do believe I'm going to drink some beer. This is due to the fact I'm going to the Detroit Tigers game tonight. Yay me.
The company I work for gets season tickets to the Tigers every year and gives them out. So if you watch the Tigers tonight I'll be sitting behind the first base line in row 16 with my mom, sister, and her husband. I'm excited and I don't even really like baseball. There is nothing like being there though. It just makes it exciting. I was kinda foolish though. I should have gotten a Friday or Saturday night game. There's fire works after those games. Ah well though. It should be fun.
I'm not going to be available the next couple days. The family and I are heading to Michigan's Adventure Wednesday. We're probably leaving tomorrow night and grabbing a hotel room so that we can get there early in the morning. :-) Yes this is my vacation week.
So what else am I doing today, other than blogging to all of you? Well cleaning of course. Just got done scrubbing the kitchen floors. Now I'm off to finish the laundry, re-organize my desk because we just moved it into the bedroom, and finish the dishes. I also have to start getting things packed.
Later I'm thinking of finding a writing prompt to change things up a little bit. I'm sure people are getting bored just reading the same ole stuff of my life.
any who. hope you all are having a wonderful day.

Another Blog?
Yes, I'm setting up home in a nother sphere of the internet.
Why, might you ask?
Well because of the simple fact that i can. That and I've grown tired of Myspace. I also have a lot of applications with Google so I figure I might as well sign another piece of my life to them.
Now, you might also ask who Sucellus is. Well he's the celtic god associated with the very important things like forests, agriculture, and my favorite Beer.
So please would you all raise a glass of ale and welcome me to my newest home.
